Scope and Contents

Biannual newsletter edited by Tennessee Tech University students and published by the Tennessee Tech Women's Center and Commission on the Status of Women. The newsletter focuses on issues in gender equality and the lives of women and gender minorities. Attune also publicizes events and Women's Center resources.

Abstract

In 1987, Tennessee Technological University formed the Commission on the Status of Women to promote and provide for women on Tennessee Technological University’s campus in terms of safety, hiring and promotion, and educational offerings. Records include the founding documents and meeting minutes.

Content Description From the Collection: Records of the former director of the Women's Center and sociology professor, Gretta Stanger. She was employed as a faculty member at Tennessee Tech for nearly 50 years. Content Description From the Collection: This collection includes various Tennessee Tech programs, pamphlets, fliers, booklets, guides, brochures, and ephemera created by the University. Archives created the collection to deal with various materials that either had no obvious home in University Archives or materials that had provenance at one point, but it was lost over the years.
