Content Description

Playbills from the Tech Players from as early as the 1967 season and as late as the 1992 season. The accession includes playbills from The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare; the historical drama, The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail; Story Theatre by Paul Sills; Mr. U.S. Grant: A Man and A Patriot by Dan Haughey; and The Grass Harp by Truman Capote. There is also a newspaper copy from the Herald-Citizen regarding the Tech Players' production of Studio Scenes in 1989, and a final grant report to the Upper Cumberland Development District regarding the University's production of the play, The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail. The report is thirty-six pages in total and includes answers regarding the circumstances, goals, and results of the requested grant, the audition flyer, editorials in The Oracle, publicity flyers, copies of articles from the Herald-Citizen, and reviews of the drama (there is a post card with the poster on the front attached to the report). Last is a button advertising the Tennessee Tech Players.
