Service, 1936 - 1981
Description
The Service series consists of records and reports related to Derryberry’s volunteer activities with local, regional, and national committees and organizations. The bulk of files are Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) visiting committee records; and correspondence, membership lists, and publications of the Cookeville Rotary Club and Cookeville Lions Club. Other materials of note are the minutes, draft reports, and final report of the School Study Committee for Putnam County, which examined the conditions and needs of the county public schools in 1962 and developed a plan for consolidation. The series is arranged alphabetically by folder title, then chronologically by date of creation.
