Handwritten letter by Richard Fielding Cooke and Margaret Cox Cooke to Nancy Cooke Rhea and Sebird Rhea. The letter discusses the events two of Richard Fielding's son took part in. The first, Native American conflicts in the Walla Walla Valley, in Washington where Richard Fielding's son, Whitney Cooke, was located. It also discussed the Occupation of Mexico in 1846-1848 where Richard Fielding's son, Bolivar took volunteers to help American troops. Richard Fielding also mentioned his sister's health scare involving Typhoid Fever.
