The content of the scrapbook is entirely personal memorabilia that relates to Frances Byrne's life as a student and her family. Included are personal mementos like snack wrappers, part of an apple peel, a sock, literary society invitations, pictures of family and friends, and notes passed between friends; newspaper clippings including comics and jokes, local basketball news, and various beauty news; ephemera from her time both at Tennessee Polytechnic Institute and Baxter Seminary; letters from friends, family, and sweethearts; and clippings of hair and plants. The folders of the school papers seem to include work from Mattie Mai, Willie Franklin, Anna Sue, and Ada Frances.
