The Driver Family Collection consists of various materials gathered by James Gray “Bobo” Driver (1916-1992) and Ruby Nell Haas Driver (1920-2012). The materials in the collection range from 1968 to 2001. Multiple items are ephemeral, and some are handmade. Differing forms of recorded music are also present amongst the materials. The collection’s primary subjects revolve around events and people of Smithville, Tennessee, including the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree, the Smithville-DeKalb Founders Day Celebration in 1968, and Joe L. Evins’ political career and tribute at Tennessee Tech University in 1976.
