Content Description

C. P. (Clarence Predew) Snelgrove was Tennessee Tech's Head Librarian from 1936 to 1974. This collection consists of booklets, photos, and ephemera relating to his friends and family, Tennessee Tech, Cookeville, Charles Faulkner Bryan, the Village of Rugby in Tennessee, Cookeville Creative Writers' Association, and the State of Tennessee. This collection also includes hand-forged tools and hand-formed wooden weaving tools. Also included is a football given to C.P. Snelgrove by Preston Vaughn (P. V.) Overall.

Most of the material originated with C.P. Snelgrove and passed down to his son, James Snelgrove, the donor. The football was given to C.P. Snelgrove by P.V. Overall. An included notebook belonged to James Snelgrove.
