Annette Draper papers
Content Description
Annette Draper (1902-1992), lived in Gainesboro, Tennessee. She worked as a postal clerk before retiring. This collection includes a musical diary, the Harmony Book for Beginners, and a memory book that belonged to Annette Draper. Annette's piano teacher, recorded entries of her progress in her musical diary from November 23, 1914 through March 26, 1915. The harmony book was a textbook and writing book that Annette used to learn to play the piano. She graduated from Cookeville City High School and Tennessee Polytechnic Institute. Her memory book (scrapbook) contains newspaper clippings, graduation announcements, school programs, black and white photographs, and alumni banquet programs. There is one item with the memory book, which appears to be a diploma of Annette's from Tennessee Technological University. It doesn't say what the degree was for or the year she graduated.
