Content Description

These materials include photographs and negatives of photographs captured by Dr. Howard Gilmer Ashburn (1909-1972), an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Tennessee Technological University (TTU), as well as two DVDs and a VHS tape of Dr. Ashburn's photographs. The photographs depict a wide variety of scenery and events from the TTU/Tennessee Polytechnic Institute (TPI) campus between 1939 and 1979, and they feature many prominent figures, such as former TTU president Everett Derryberry and former U.S. Representative Joe L. Evins. Also included are two photographs captured by Dr. Calvin Dickinson, an Emeritus Professor of TTU's History Department.
