109th Cavalry and Vietnam Veteran Interviews and Research, 1988 - 1992
Scope and Contents
The series documents the oral histories of Cookeville's 109th and Vietnam Veterans recorded by William John "Bill" Brinker as well as the research, notes, and artifacts he collected in the process of interviewing. He used these interviews, research, and artifacts to write his book "A Time for Looking Back" (1990), of which a copy is included in the series, and to prepare his exhibit at the Cookeville Depot Museum. Materials include : transcipts, photographs, clippings, sound recordings, correspondance, a guest book for the exhibit at the Cookeville Depot Museum, grant paperwork, a copy of the book "A Time for Looking Back," and notes regarding Brinker's research.
