These are materials acquired initially by Christine Jones during her course of work as a genealogist in Tennessee Tech archives. They include copies and originals of materials dealing with counties, notable families, and a variety of historical topics dealing with the Upper Cumberland. Subject files continue to be added from ongoing acquisitions. This collection also includes numerous scrapbooks from Thomas Jefferson Barnes relating to his family genealogy and dating from 1883-1986.

Scope and Contents From the Record Group:

Documents related to the operation of the Tennessee Tech University Division of University Advancement, which includes the Crawford Alumni Center and University Development. Materials include meeting records of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, event planning files, photographs curated for alumni events and publications, publications, and Tennessee Tech ephemera.

Content Description This collection documents the local community response to tornadoes that touched down in Putnam County, Tennessee, on March 3, 2020 through materials gathered by the Tennessee Tech University Archives and Special Collections.
